WHEN she was 12, her hair was long, blonde and beautiful. Then, aged 14, her eyebrows suddenly began to disappear.

At 17 her hair began to fall out in clumps, and by the time she was 21, Sarah Amies was bald.

Alopecia had set in with a vengeance and Sarah felt angry, embarrassed and isolated.

But 20 years on, Sarah has turned her personal ordeal into a professional triumph.
