The path selection problem in IBM's Networking BroadBand Services is solved by a heuristic method based on the Bellman-Ford algorithm. A minimum hop path is derived to satisfy end-to-end delay constraints and load balancing. Other quality of service specifications are used as link constraints to reduce the number of path constraints in the network.
