Roller Hockey: Radcliffe and Jones help Halifax stop rot.

Evening Courier (Halifax, England) | April 16, 2008 | Copyright

Halifax Roller Hockey Club ended a nine game losing streak and collected their first three points of the season by beating Herne Bay CSL 7-5 at North Bridge LC on Sunday.

They started well but fell behind to an effort which took a wicked deflection off defender Scott Brant's stick.

Matt Radcliffe equalised via a post and Rick Jones came off the bench to give Halifax the lead with a clever turn and flick shot but Joe Fiddock made it 2-2.

Jones's brilliant back-hand slap from just inside the half made it 3-2 but CSL struck before the interval.
