To mark the 500th anniversary of St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums, the Vatican collected about half of the pieces that had traveled to four American cities in 20032004 and paired them with some new treasures to craft "Vatican Splendors." The four-gallery exhibit is currently showing in St. Petersburg, Fla., and will travel to two other U.S. cities this year and into early 2009.
