Polish resident joins community council.
|
A LOCAL migrant worker from Poland has become the newest member of Hawick Community Council.
Twenty-four year old Lukasz Wojcik was officially co-opted on to the community council at their meeting on Tuesday night, where his nomination was given unanimous approval.
Although the Rosevale Street resident will not have voting rights since he is not on the electoral role, he will still be a full member of the Community Council and was delighted to have been approved.
