Public policy in Iowa recognizes the importance of transitioning the state's economy from an agricultural to a bio-fuel/ biotech focus. Education is core to sustaining the viability of current bioindustries, ensuring Iowa's leadership in renewable fuels and bio-based products, and in encouraging future bioindustry investments and expansion.
