THE Queen's official composer has been paid several hundred thousandpounds by his former manager after a bitter feud sparked by a [pounds sterling]500,000 'blackhole' in the musician's finances.

Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, who lives in the Orkney Islands, received thesettlement from Michael Arnold and his wife Judy. Mr Arnold is currently beinginvestigated by police over financial irregularities in connection with SirPeter's accounts.
