State expects aerospace to increase 5,000 jobs.(MANUFACTURING)

Arkansas economic developers expect the state's aviation and aerospace industry to need 5,000 new jobs over the next 10 years, and a new alliance of educators, business and government will work to help Arkansas meet that need.

The Arkansas Economic Development Commission announced the Arkansas Aerospace Alliance at a special Arkansas Aerospace Summit at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The alliance will seek to make Arkansas a leader in the industry by recruiting and training a qualified aerospace work force.
