World's media descend on Squadron Leader.

Tuesday, 2.30pm - SQUADRON Leader Andy Bryne found himself at the centre of a media storm when news broke about Prince Harry's service in Afghanistan.

Mr Bryne, from Grantham, was running the Press Information Centre at the British Headquarters in Helmand province when news broke of the Prince's 10-week stint directing coalition combat air strikes on the Taliban.

Mr Byrne, 53, was inundated with frantic calls from the world's media.
