He was the classical music pioneer who became the only British conductor to play for Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany.
And Sir Thomas Beecham even had the audacity to call the fascist dictator an "old bugger".
Now memorabilia given by the Nazis to Beecham during his controversial tour of Germany in 1936 is going under the hammer for the first time, expected to fetch up to pounds 1,000.
