Jason Elam felt like a wanted man.

That, more than anything, was the overriding factor in his decision to leave the Denver Broncos after 15 seasons, more than finances and living arrangements.

The team's all-time leading scorer signed a four-year, $9 million free- agent contract Friday with the Atlanta Falcons. The deal includes $3.3 million in guaranteed money.
