The cover at the top centre and the two so-called diffuse fields located on the left and right of the dashboard of the Mercedes-Benz C-class models automobile are to be made of a 14% glass fibre reinforced polybutylene terephtha-late/acrylonitrile butadiene styrene blend (brand name: Ultradur S4090 GX black), supplied by BASF AG, Germany.

The three parts feature a filigree surface--a metal imitation rib-mesh with open perforations. They function as covers for the diffuse ventilation of the front windshield and of the vehicle interior.
