HALIFAX Irish have written off their title hopes after a poor recent run and with the pressure off they cut loose at home to Siddal Athletic, winning 6-0.

Jake Travis almost scored in the first minute but Fraser Swarbrook soon gave them the lead after Ben Orchard had been unable to hold Mike Gregory's floated free kick.

Travis headed just over and Steve Galloway missed an open goal before Scott Hamilton powered home a header from Gregory's corner after half an hour.
