THE KOP have waited a long time for a striker to worship after Robbie Fowler's pomp - and Fernando Torres has already filled that yawning gap.

Now it's official in the record books too.

The super Spaniard became the first Liverpool striker to hit 20 goals in a Premier League campaign since Fowler - the player christened 'God' by the Kop - did it a dozen years ago and there truly is a new king on the throne.
