Oct. 20--Virginia-based Nimbus CD International said Thursday it won't build a major compact disc factory anytime soon in the Eugene-Springfield area.
Nimbus has shelved its plan for a new CD factory in Eugene or elsewhere on the West Coast in wake of the company's purchase of a California computer disc maker, said Bob Headrick, president of the CD-ROM subsidiary Nimbus Information Systems Inc.
