IN THE ANNALS OF ODD EATING habits, those of the Great Salt Lake brine shrimp Artemia franciscana must certainly rank among the weirdest. Aquatic ecologist Matthew Gliwicz of the University of Warsaw has found that Artemia eats its own discarded body parts.
