Experts expect no major change on retail scene
The drastically changing face of the Southland retailing landscape isn't likely to be further altered now that Federated Department Stores Inc. has announced it will change all of the Bullock's outlets to Macy's, sources say.
"This will be an enormous non-event for most people other than the nostalgia of losing an old friend (Bullock's)," said Richard Giss, partner in charge of retailing with the downtown L.A. office of Deloitte & Touche accounting firm.
