EMBATTLED Tory MP Sir Nicholas Winterton was at the centre of a freshcontroversy last night over voterigging claims in an opinion poll on whether heabused Commons expenses.

The local newspaper in his Macclesfield constituency reversed the result of areaders' online survey on Sir Nicholas's conduct after it said it had foundcheating on a massive scale.

Overwhelming support for Sir Nicholas became overwhelming opposition aftermultiple voting from computers was uncovered.
