Tabby Tom really has nine lives!

TOM, a tabby from Gildersome, was left counting his lives after hiding and getting stuck under the bonnet of a van which was then driven all over the area in search of him.

The one-year-old tabby and white cat was left singed and shaken by his adventure - but is now home and recovering well.

Tom's owners, Jane Twitchett, 37, and her twin daughters, Caitlan and Hannah Hicks, nine, noticed him missing on Saturday, February 16, when he did not come in for his dinner.
