Urdu - Richest in Saintly Literature

February 25 (PTI Feature) -- Very few people know that Urdu is a vehicle of secular thought, even today as in the past, and that it is the richest language in the literature of the main religions of India.

Besides Islamics, where it has covered the entire Islamic thought and religion viz, Tafsir, Hadis, Figh and Kalam it is a reservoir of scholarship pertaining to other religions.

According to Dr Mohammad Uzair there are more than 400 books in Urdu on Indian Religions other than Islam.
