Going to an American Library Association (ALA) conference is like doing a good database search: everybody does it differently. Individual searchers may come to similar aggregate results (or may not), but the exact records they find along the way, together with the route they take to get there, are always individual. The ALA meeting is mammoth and at least as diverse as any mainstream database host system's offerings.
