KwaZulu-Natal set to spend bigger slice of national pie.(Network)

WHEN KwaZulu-Natal Fi[logical not]nance and Economic De[logical not]velopment MEC Zweli Mkhize delivers the provincial budget tomorrow in the capital, Pietermaritzburg, he will have about R6.6 billion more to spend from national coffers.

The province's total funds transfer from the National Budget - including conditional grants - announced last week, has ballooned to R49.5 billion for the 2008/2009 budgetary period, which means that KwaZulu-Natal continues to get the lion's share of the budget.
