The European Commission has taken the first step towards nominating 18 members of the Governing Board of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). The Commissioner for Education and Culture, Jan Figel, has created a four-strong Identification Committee, which should come up with the composition of the EIT board within the next four months.
