What do Glen Davis, Leon Powe and Ryan Gomes prove?
That Danny Ainge's second-round picks can't be second-guessed.
Technically, Ainge and the Celtics didn't draft Davis last June. Seattle took him in the second round with the 35th overall pick before shipping his rights and Ray Allen to Boston for the rights to Jeff Green - the fifth pick in the draft - plus Delonte West and Wally Szczerbiak. Rest assured, though, that the Celtics told the Sonics they wanted Davis with the 35th pick before agreeing to the deal.
