Coding style and good computing practices. (replicating research)

Proper computing practices and coding styles for replicating research are discussed. Lab books should be maintained from the start to the completion of a project. Command files must be written to record the different models tested while verbal descriptions of hypotheses should first be established prior to coding variables. Errors need to be corrected as soon as they appear while data manipulation and data analysis must be placed in separate files.
