IPM for greenhouse growers.(integrated pest management)

The first steps in managing greenhouse pests should be to prevent them in the first place. Weeding, trimming dead leaves, inspecting the plants and wearing colors that do not attract insects are prevention methods. Control methods, whether natural or chemical, should be used after the pest is identified.

Greenhouse IPM (integrated pest management) should consist of two components: prevention and control. Prevention is the preferred method of insuring plant health. Control methods are needed if the efforts at prevention do not succeed. These two components are needed for a complete IPM ...
