Former running back and punter Joe Don Looney was the star of the 1962 Oklahoma Sooners football team and the New York Giants number 1 draft choice in 1964, but he never approached his full potential. The aptly-named Looney died in a motorcycle accident in Sep 1988. He was a great all-around talent.
