PHILLIPSTON - The father of a Petersham man who fell from a bridge and was struck and killed by a state police cruiser in a tragic series of events Wednesday said he is not surprised his son took on the role of good Samaritan.

"That's the way he was raised," said James Castonguay of Petersham, whose son, Andrew, was killed Wednesday night on Route 2A in Phillipston. "He would give anybody help."
