Capitalism has been criticized for its amorality and even immorality. At its least desirable, its values could be adjudged independent of morality. At its worst, it glorifies greed. Thus, unlike Marx, many of the system's critics warn that it will disintegrate precisely because of its economic success. However, the system can become compatible with traditional concepts of morality if its practitioners recognize the value of being moral.
