Poultry man wins 'yes' for farm plans.

A poultry farmer has won planning permission for caravans at two of his sites - despite opposition from residents in one of the villages.

Harry Irwin, who runs a 18,000-bird unit in Fakenham Magna and another 54,250 chicken unit in Barnham - both of which are free range - told planners he needed the caravans as part of bio- security measures against bird flu.

But residents living close to the Fakenham Magna operation which raises chickens and turkeys, objected to plans for a caravan, shed and two feed bins.
