XOMA Corporation to Receive Three New Patents.

BERKELEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 26, 1995--The U.S. Patent Office will issue three new patents to XOMA Corporation (NASDAQ: XOMA).

Two of these patents, to issue on Nov. 14, 1995, represent the company's first BPI-related diagnostic assay patents. BPI (bactericidal/permeability-increasing protein) is a naturally-occurring human protein that kills bacteria and neutralizes poisonous endotoxins.

These patents will provide XOMA with significant protection for methods of measuring blood serum levels of BPI and monitoring levels of therapeutically-administered…
