It seems to me that professional sports are less than serious about curtailing the use of illegal drugs among athletes. The latest case is that of Eagles offensive tackle Bernard Williams. Williams is lost to the Eagles not because he broke a leg, but because he broke a promise. He tested positive for marijuana for a second time. He was banned for a season; he should be banned for life.
