CROWN POINT--Sept. 20--Centier Bank might join the growing ranks of business owners contributing to the architectural revival of downtown Crown Point.

Carol Highsmith, senior vice president of Whiting-based Centier Bank, said plans are being drawn to renovate its office and urban park on Joliet Street between Main and East streets.

"We have been working with an architect on the exterior of the building," Highsmith said. "The building is kind of drab looking."

In addition to raising the bank's visibility, Highsmith said Centier wants to make a further commitment to the Crown ...
