It's not just Paddington Bear who's gone off marmalade, it seems. Three years after Winnie the Pooh got one over on his rival when sales of honey overtook those of marmalade for the first time, sales of Paddington's pre-Marmite favourite are still on the slide. In fact, they've slipped 2% over the past year, according to the latest TNS Worldpanel figures [52 w/e 7 October 2007], and life doesn't look that sweet for the rest of the jams, preserves and spreads category either.
