The Penn Traffic Co. has tapped C&S Wholesale Grocers Inc. as the source to supply the warehouses of P&C Foods and Penn's other supermarket chains and retail customers with produce.

Penn Traffic, which operates out of the Syracuse area, says the contract with C&S will not affect Penn's warehouses, which are based in Central New York, or store-delivery systems.

The contract goes into effect March 1.
