Top trainer tips Nigel for Wright result.

ONE of British boxing's top trainers today tipped Nigel Wright to win the Commonwealth light-welterweight title.

Bob Shannon, one of the coaches on the thriving Manchester scene, has seen both champion Ajose Olusegun and challenger Wright at close quarters.

Olusegun stopped Shannon fighter, Ali Nuumbembe, in six rounds in London in 2006 in one of the best results of the Nigerian's career.

Wright meanwhile has sparred with David Barnes, the British welterweight champion, who is the star turn in Bob's gym.
