Councils told to find more gipsy pitches.

Councils may have to double the number of caravan pitches for gipsies and travellers after proposals were approved for more than 300 new plots in Suffolk and Norfolk.
The East of England Regional Assembly (EERA), which met on Friday, recommended each authority provide at least 15 pitches by 2011 - with more where there is a high level of need.
In 2006, there were only 169 existing authorised plots in Suffolk and 175 in Norfolk, but this is set to almost double.
