A FORMER publican in Kirkliston has received one of sailing's top awards.
Robert Queen, who ran the Kirklands Inn for the past 16 years, has been crowned Yachtmaster of the Year at the London Boat Show last week, receiving his award from HRH the Princess Royal.
Robert was selected for the top award against powerful competition from almost 2500 Yachtmaster candidates world-wide who qualified last year.
