Syracuse University will announce today that 14 works, drawings and writings, of Michelangelo will be on exhibit at its SUArt Galleries in Syracuse and at Lubin House in New York City this fall.
"Michelangelo: The Man and the Myth" will open in Syracuse Aug. 12 and continue until Oct. 19. It will move to the Palitz Gallery at Lubin House for viewing from Nov. 4 to Jan. 4, 2009.
Many of these works by Michelangelo, who painted the Vatican's Sistine Chapel ceiling and sculpted the statue "David," are rarely seen.
