AN AMERICAN woman is calling on the remains of her murdered relatives to be returned.
William (7) and John Higgins (4) were murdered by their father Patrick, when he drowned them in the flooded Hopetoun Quarry near Winchburgh in 1911.
After they were discovered, some of the brothers' body parts were removed by forensic scientists from Edinburgh University without the knowledge of the family.
Maureen Marella, who claims to be a relative of the boys, would like to see the remains returned to the family for a Christian burial.
