Sep. 6--An algae that thrives in the briny Great Salt Lake could end up on your dining table.
An Ogden company is researching whether dunaliella algae, which currently feeds only the lake's brine shrimp, has potential as a dietary supplement.
Nutraceutical Corp. has signed an agreement with the Utah Division of Sovereign Lands and Forestry requiring it to pay royalties in the event it develops a product from the algae.
