A DISGUSTED mother has blasted thugs who partially-blinded her teenage son.

She sent out a heartbreaking message to the gang who launched an unprovoked attack on her 19-year-old son, who was walking along Harvey Lane in Golborne when four men assaulted him.

The woman, who does not want to be named, says her son is a hard-working, law-abiding young man who now faces an uncertain future regarding his sight.

She said: "To the people who did this: you're nothing but scumbags and you don't realise the damage that you've caused.
