COTTAGE GROVE - Olga Achterhof of Cottage Grove died Jan. 16 of lung cancer at age 89. No service is planned.
She was born Oct. 19, 1918, in Quincy, Mass., to Nakim and Maria Boyko Waskowsky. She married John Achterhof on March 16, 1941, in Lansing, Mich.
She graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1937. She worked at an aircraft engine manufacturing plant in Lansing during World War II.
