In Praise of Pocahontas: Yes, the Disney animators have turned our Native American wise child, our fabled 12-year-old mercy-giver, into a major babe. Forgive me if I don't get upset. All the young Native American women in Pocahontas are babes, and all the braves look like they've been spending serious time in the gym. Besides, though Pocahontas may be drawn with the potential for jiggling, she doesn't, because she also runs with the wind, soars with the eagles and otherwise proves to be firm, in mind and body alike.
