A LITTLE piece of Leeds rock 'n' roll history was expected to fetch big money at an entertainment memorabilia sale today

The item going under the hammer was a poster advertising a Rolling Stones concert at the city's Queens Hall in July 1964.

Measuring 30 by 40 inches, its no-frills blue-on-white design is a world away from the striking colours and logos normally associated with the Swinging Sixties.

But that didn't stop London auction house Bonhams slapping an estimated price tag of [pounds sterling]3,000 on it ahead of today's memorabilia sale.
