Centre's Boxing Day sales are here to stay.

YEARS ago Boxing Day was about spending time with the family, playing board games or even watching the hunt.

But now it looks as if age old traditions will be replaced with new ones in Peterborough after the city's Queensgate Centre revealed it's first ever December 26 opening could become a regular occurence.

Management at the centre say its first Boxing Day opening in its 25-year history was a success.

Around 40 shops opened on the day, including BHS, the Disney Store, Boots, Superdrug, GAME, H&M, Warehouse and Zavvi (formerly Virgin Megastore).
