The Clippers' New Year's celebration came about four hours early.

A bit after 8 p.m. on New Year's Eve, they bombarded the Minnesota Timberwolves with a spectacular run to open the fourth quarter. They might have sleepwalked through the previous three quarters, but they rode their fourth-quarter outburst to a 91-82 victory at Staples Center that snapped a six-game losing streak.

The win also snapped a seven-game home losing streak that dated to before Thanksgiving.
