Santa arrives to give prizes.

Santa was on hand to present the hampers to top prize winners when Rutland Water held its annual Christmas Fare match, the 35 anglers who turned up enjoyed very good sport with the top six landing twenty-five rainbow trout for a total weight of 56lbs.
At the handing over of the hampers by santa (Trevor Ashby) everyone was congratulated for their efforts. Many of the anglers were season permit holders who all claim that Rutland Water is by far the best fishery in the country.
Taking the top honours on the day was Mike Nethercliff and he had six fish ...
