MIDLOTHIAN residents only have a few more days to vote for their Most Treasured Places.

The Scottish Mining Museum at Newtongrange and Rosslyn Chapel are vying with eight other shortlisted places for the top spot.

The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland has been asking members of the public to choose their favourite image of a treasured place from an original list of 100.

The 10 finalists, which also includes Skara Brae in Orkney and the Falkirk Wheel, were announced in October. Votes for the final winner have to be cast by noon on ...
