Three Royal Anglians killed in friendly fire.

Three British soldiers have been killed and two seriously injured after a US fighter aircraft dropped a bomb on them as they battled insurgents in southern Afghanistan.

The soldiers, from 1st Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment, which recruits troops from Northamptonshire, were taking part in a patrol north-west of Kajaki, Helmand Province, at about 6.30pm local time yesterday.
